About Me! 👋
Hey, I’m Yameen - a 14 year-old Innovator at The Knowledge Society (TKS), Army Cadet, Writer for The Startup and STEAM Student at RHHS.
I’m interested in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI’s) and Gene-Editing. Currently, I’m working on AI-related projects!
My goal in life is to have an impact. Life is short, so with the time you have, make a difference!
But, you didn’t come here to learn about my life goals, you came to learn about my month.
So here you go!
March! 🌱
March was amazing!
I finished up my partnership opportunity with the United Nations, recorded podcast episodes, worked on AI projects and even read a book (which is not something I usually do 😂).
So before I take up too much of your time, welcome to my month of March!
Mindset of the Month 🧠
As humans, we tend to believe that whatever our opinion is, it is the right one.
However, over the course of working on a challenge for the United Nations, creating podcast episodes and really, just living my life, I’ve learned the importance of learning and acknowledging someone else’s perspective - the perspective mindset.
Whether that’s the perspective of a girl in Meru who is struggling to continue her education, the targeted audience of a teenager’s podcast, or even my brothers when I fight with them over who get’s to play video games, it’s extremely important to understand the perspectives other than your own.
And when you actually work on doing this, you will finally be able to change your way of thinking and acting in specific situations.
It will not only help you in understanding the needs of the other person, but it will also help you open up the path for more acceptance and tolerance in your daily life.
Partnership with The United Nations 🇺🇳
Last week, my group and I completed our recommendation for the United Nations.
We focused on enabling more women and girls to access and influence technology, specifically in Meru, Kenya.
From all the laughs to the days of continuous grinding, it was truly a wonderful experience. I got to learn, fail and succeed!
But none of it would’ve been possible without the team!
Huge shoutout to you all:
Aman - for coming in clutch with all the financial calculations (our math boi).
Bagavan - for the continuous leadership (our Alvin the Bagavan).
And Sambhav - for all the amazing ideas and research (our proud Sambhav).
This challenge wouldn’t be as enjoyable as it was without each and every one of you!
Anyways, below you can check out the recommendation we came up with through our deck:
Podcast 🎙️
I also spent some time working on my podcast!
This month’s episode was about hate crimes.
Just for some background information, the episode was created following the Atlanta shooting where 8 women were killed - 6 of whom were Asian.
The fact that people are being hurt and killed just because of their race, gender or ethnicity is absolutely disgusting.
And you don’t have to be someone who has personally experiences these things in order for you to understand that there is a problem and that the only way there will ever be a solution is if we work together and acknowledge that everyone is created equal.
AI Projects 🤖
I finished my second replicate on license plate detection using AI.
It was very fun working on this project and I am excited for the next one (it’s going to be a big one)!

Read of the Month 📖
This month I continued reading Talk Like TED by Carmine Gallo.
Although I am not yet finished the book, I plan on completing it by the end of April (and will share my key takeaways in April’s newsletter)! Stay tuned!
Podcast of the Month 🎧
This month, I focused on listening to more podcasts.
Out of the few I gave a listen to, the Naval podcast was the one that stood out.
For some context, it was created by Naval Ravikant, the founder of AngelList.
And in his podcast, he touches on lessons in life, entrepreneurship, building wealth, etc…
If you’re currently trying to find a high value podcast that will help you in your life, I’d strongly recommend giving this one a listen!
Below is his most recent episode:
What’s next (goals for April)? ✨
In the coming month, I will work on several things:
My AI Focus - Create
Creating more podcast episodes
Reading more books
Listening to more podcasts
Continuing with healthy living - waking up early, meditating, working out, etc
Relaxing!
That’s it…for now! ⏰
It’s been an amazing month, however, I’m very excited for what’s next.
In April, not only will I have two long weekends (😌) but I will also work on some awesome projects, read new books, listen to more podcasts and much much more!
I’m excited for the month ahead, so until then…
… good luck on April 1st!
(And feel free to subscribe to stay up to date with everything I do!)
